Orange County Public Schools

  • 76,836 sq. ft.
  • Associated Architect: Rhodes + Brito Architects
  • Green Globes

This comprehensive, historically influenced project consisted of renovation of the existing circa 1926 school building for classrooms, auditorium and cafeteria and complimenting interior design for a new classroom building adjacent.  The historic significance of this neighborhood school was projected through both renovation and new construction.  Most of the original historically significant details remain with appropriate introductions of new finish materials to enhance functionality, longevity, and aesthetics.  Flooring finishes were designed to enhance tactile way finding as the school houses a program for the visually impaired.   The building meets Green Globes green building standards.
