Recently Ramski and Company became a part of the built environment team for the new K-5 school at P.K. Yonge, the laboratory school for the University of Florida in Gainesville. P.K. is Jennifer Ramski’s Alma Matter, so it was a pretty special project. Though starting very late in the process, The faculty, administration and designers here in our studio worked very hard to Program, study, select, sample, specify and quote the entire school in six weeks! It was a daunting task, but we did it together…. And here is what P. K. thinks:

Good afternoon Jennifer and Mandy,

After many, many weeks–and hours and hours of time–we now have two short videos ready to share with others about our new elementary building. These videos (and the related information on the PKY website) will help others know more about our building and how teaching and learning are organized in new ways. These two videos are just the beginning and provide an opportunity for us to share with outsiders” what happens inside” our building.

Feel free to share with family, friends, and interested others! Tomorrow they will be linked in the College of Education newsletter that goes out to thousands of UF COE grads and friends, but we thought you should get them first!! A link will also be posted on the COE Facebook page.

We are so thankful for all you did to get us to where we are today,

Lynda
